Never underestimate the strength it takes for someone to be themselves

“Never underestimate the strength it takes for someone to be themselves” this phrase made the base of a very, very special ceremony last week that I had the hour of officiating at. The incredible journey that Clinton and John had been on together was merely touched on, however myself and their closest friends and some family were for very aware of their story and are just so excited that they are married (well in good old New Zealand, anyway)!!! And then they sent me a thank you! Hey Phillipa. We’re back in Aus now but wanted to say thanks again…

Love and family – the key words in this ceremony

The key words for Cassie and Renata’s ceremony were family and love, and everywhere I looked you could feel it. They chose to have their ceremony at St Omer Park in Queenstown Bay and the weather was ideal for June – Rich Bayley captured some wonderful moments.

Keeping it simple!

Two and a half weeks before their wedding day, Petya and Max booked me to officiate at their ceremony. Their next question was where shall we marry? I suggested they put Queenstown Gardens as their location on their licence as it is beautiful and the band rotunda offers some protection from the weather. The day before their ceremony, with their 2 best friends, they scouted the gardens until they found this spectacular location at the very tip of the Gardens. So the moral of the story is… be it simple or elaborate, make your wedding day the day you want,…
