Adventurous girls, Jen and Jo exchanged vows on the shore of Lake Tekapo, approximately 3 hours drive from Queenstown. Although we had blues skies there was a very strong wind blowing which stopped the girls from celebrating their love in the relaxed but special way they had pictured on the lakefront. December 2012 was my busiest month for civil unions, to date. Matthew and Chris’s ceremony was held on 12 12 12 – a busy day for ceremonies in Queenstown. However, their ceremony was extra special and with approximately 100 of their closet family and friends to be witnesses it was a wonderful occasion. Daniel, a guest read a beautiful reading which has become a favourite of mine: MY LOVE   When I met you, I had no idea how much my life was about to be changed… but then, how could I have known? A love like ours happens once in a lifetime. You were a miracle to me, the one who was everything I had ever dreamed of, the one I thought existed only in my imagination. Two beautiful ladies, one fabulous ceremony!

The ceremony for Rae and Dot, is one I will never forget! The ceremony was in the rotunda of the beautiful Queenstown Gardens with the tulip beds at there best, blossom on the trees and love in the air – just perfect! The words, the atmosphere, the love, the emotion, the admiration, the laughter and the love – none of this will ever be forgotten by me. Rae even changed her name before the ceremony so that they could be presented as the Austin family, a wonderful gift. I wish them both a lifetime of love, good health and happiness...
