Late July I received a lovely email from Parizad and Phillip, whom I married 5 years ago at Stoneridge Estate. At the time they chose to have an intimate ceremony which was perfect, since then Hannah Jean, who was born in September last year, has made a much loved addition to their family.
I was invited to perform a blessing ceremony for Hannah and this time with their families and friends sharing their day. Of course, I readily accepted only to realise that the ceremony was in Auckland! So I was very fortunate to have a trip to Auckland and officiate at a ceremony celebrating Phillip and Parizad’s 5th wedding anniversary as well as Hannah’s blessing – so privileged! The ceremony was in the Pavillion at Cornwall Park and we had high tea to follow! It was a magic day and for me it was a pleasure to not only see Phillip and Parizad again but to learn of their journey so far and of course to meet the gorgeous Hannah as well as their family and friends. It was a true honour to be a part of such a special occasion.
