My first thought when I saw Jenny walking through the trees with her parents walking on either side of her towards Ben, was what a beautiful, traditional dress – little did I realise at the time, but she was wearing her grandmother, Miriam’s, wedding dress that she wore in 1953! The only alteration required was that it had to be shortened a little, other than that it was a perfect fit. Miriam read from the Holy Bible during the ceremony and so she played a very active role in the ceremony. The bird nest was used to carry the wedding rings and Ben and Jenny chose the warming of the rings ritual so that each of the guests could wish good health and happiness to the couple, individually. Jenny was showing Ben a robin’s nest full of baby birds, when Ben proposed – so romantic!
Jenny from Alpine Images, the fabulous photographer, will hopefully send some amzing photos of Jenny’s dress, sadly my iphone photos don’t really do Jenny’s beautiful traditional dress justice. – watch this space! I am sure you all enjoyed your helicopter flight for your wedding photos after the ceremony, as it was a stunning day!
