I chose the above quote by Victor Hugo because I shall remember Kylie and Scott’s ceremony for many reasons, but the flowers at Trelawn Place, 5 minutes from Queenstown), were spectacular! (Sarah at the Flower Room truly is a very talented lady).
Although the ceremony had some traditional elements, when Kylie’s matron of honour read a reading titled the Wedding Cake recipe with a little anecdote about Kylie enjoying cooking and baking and Scott enjoying eating it, smiles could easily be seen on all the guests faces. I recently received this lovely message from the newly weds written just 2 weeks before they head away to Europe for their honeymoon – safe travels! “Phillipa was absolutely wonderful to work with. Due to logistics we had not actually met Phillipa in person until two days before our wedding. Immediately she managed to put everyone at ease, and was really helpful during our rehearsal, giving us great tips to ensure that our day ran perfectly. On the wedding day, I know that Phillipa spent quite a bit of time chatting with ‘the boys’ while they were awaiting my arrival making sure that they were as cool, calm and collected as possible! The ceremony was just lovely. Phillipa delivered the ceremony we had written together beautifully. Thank you Phillipa for making such a big and important part of our day so perfect.” These wonderful images were taken by Anna from Alpine Images.
