Lloyd and Liz’s extra special renewal of vows

When I met Liz and Lloyd at the Rees Hotel earlier this month we celebrated their love and marriage with a very special renewal of vows ceremony, including a hands blessing. This is a cermony that I will never forget for many reasons, the main one being the love that was in their eyes as they shared their special words with each other.
I think renewal of vows are so special and believe we need more of them – they are a true celebration of love.

Today I received the following message from Liz and Lloyd

We renewed our vows after 24years of marriage because we wanted to.

We chose Queenstown in the South Island of New Zealand because it is a
gorgeous place and a great setting for anyone contemplating doing the same.

In October there is ample snow still atop the surrounding mountains with a
360 degree panorama.

We used the internet to source a celebrant, a venue to conduct the ceremony
in and for an intimate dinner afterward.

We found Phillipa Cook and the venue via the internet. The final choices
were arrived at after several communications between a number of celebrants
and various venues.

We settled on Phillipa because of her personal style. Her personality put us
at ease and she understood how important our day was to us. Her responses
were both timely, detailed and helpful.

The venue we settled on for the ceremony and the celebratory dinner, which
we highly recommend was ‘The Rees Hotel& Luxury Apartments’.

We cannot speak highly enough of both. Phillipa is nearing her 1000th
ceremony which says it all about her professionalism, organisational skills
and flexible approach to drafting the words to the perfect ceremony.

In praising Phillipa’s efforts we must also compliment the The Rees who set
aside an area for the ceremony with the lake and mountains as a backdrop and
followed with five star food, wine and service that was unsurpassed.

We highly recommend Phillipa ([email protected]) for your special
day and also the venue The Rees(therees.co.nz ).

Regards and many thanks

PS Look forward to catching up when next in Queenstown
