Terence and Mary are an amazing couple whom my daughter Steph and myself met yesterday on their wedding day. They met 25 years ago at a dinner party and have enjoyed each others company ever since. Mary had always wanted to visit New Zealand and when the opportunity arose for them to travel here on a tour, they decided to marry in Queenstown while they are here. They had talked about getting married ‘some when’! They told no one of their plan, not even their tour guide and that is why Steph was fortunate enough to meet them as she was one of their witnesses.
Mary shared many stories with us, but I think one line she said to me, I shall always remember ‘ We don’t laugh enough anymore, we need to laugh more – even if it is just to keep our blood pressure down!’ I hope I have the same joy for life as Mary does when I am her age. All the best to you both.
