Paula and Kosta first met in a local bar and restaurant in Christchurch, I’m not going to repeat Kosta’s pick up line but he won points for originality and clearly it worked because Paula agreed to a date at a Thai restaurant a few days later. From there they took the time to learn what makes the other person smile, what makes them laugh and how to best support them when life is less than simple. They welcomed each other’s families, communities and lifelong friends, and joined them together with warmth and enthusiasm.
Now their relationship is based on their unwavering devotion and support for one another and their marriage is based on a commitment to one another to be there no matter what.
They chose to elope because of the difficulty of bringing their families together to see them wed (both cost and practicality) and will eventually have 2 parties in both NZ and Northern Ireland.
I hope their goals to move to Ireland and to travel around the world together are realised and I wish them a lifetime of love and happiness together and I believe my wish for Paula and Kosta will come true.
