Marriage / Wedding Ceremonies

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.

Vets Rachael and Edward chose an isolated location near Moke Lake on Closeburn Station for their ceremony as this is where they walk their beloved dogs whilst visiting the area. Their ceremony involved 4wd vehicles, hay bales, 2 of their many dogs as well as lots of love and laughter. Ed’s brother recited a reading titled ‘How falling in Love is like Owning a Dog’, which was perfect. Dear Phillipa   Thank you for doing such a wonderful job at our wedding. It was absolutely lovely to work with you and we were both pleased to find such a…

This day we shall remember well…

Marie-Louise and Uan chose the gorgeous Trelawn Place for their wedding ceremony, not only because of it’s spectacular views but also because it overlooks the Shotover River – the same river their home overlooks! I was delighted to be asked to share their special day and a lot of energy went into ensuring every little detail was perfect – and it was! Today I received this lovely message from Marie-Louise – believe me Marie-Louise, the pleasure was all mine! Dear Phillipa, What a magical wedding day we had!! My heart belongs to you

The following is an excerpt from a fabulous blog written by Heather Ellis a Christchurch photographer whom I had the good fortune to work with last week: Australian born Nicole went travelling with her friends to Europe one year. She expected to visit a few countries, have a fair few wines, a trolly full of laughs and to just generally enjoy her time travelling. She certainly didn’t expect to bag a sweet Irishman while she was there! … But that she indeed did, and after 8 years together and many trips back to Ireland while now living in Australia. They…

My heart has made its mind up

When locals Lauren and Tom asked me to officiate on their special day I was very excited and honoured. It was lovely to meet Laurens family who had travelled from the States and Tom’s from the west coast. I confess to being worried about the pronunciation of many of the Jewish words that were woven into their very special ceremony, but their day was perfect and when you look at these stunning photos you can see their love! Dear Phillipa, I can’t believe its already been two months since our wedding, the time just flies.  Attached are some awesome photos from…

Love is friendship that has caught fire

The Chapel by the Lake is a favourite of mine and so I was delighted when Sara and Simon asked me to officiate at their ceremony in the chapel. The chapel seats about 60 guests, has wonderful acoustics and is beautiful as you can see in these stunning photos taken by Fredrik Larsson. Doesn’t Sara look radiant? This lovely message from Sara is one of my favourites: Hi Phillipa, I would just like to say a huge thank you for doing such a wonderful job at our wedding on Thursday. i really appreciate all the effort you put into…
